Yankee Red Sox Havanese...
Strange name for a website about Havanese puppies, isn't it? Who would name a puppy site after 2 baseball teams? Two families who love baseball, one in MA and one NY, would.
We started this site in 2008, when we met through our Havanese dogs. Beth Riposo lived in Erieville, NY and Bobbee Valentine (Ironic, isn't it? No relation to the new Sox manager... who, incidentally, spells his name wrong ;O) lives in Wilmington, MA. We became fast friends and decided to work with each other whenever one of us had puppies. Bobbee (that's me) also does web design, so voila! Here you are on our puppy site!
Beth and I have loved every puppy that our dogs have had. Our husbands, Bob (NY) and Brad (MA) have also been very active in the raising of these pups. We treat every puppy as our own for the time we have them. We encourage families to visit their puppies in our homes and watch them grow through their first eight weeks. The bonding begins early and our puppies are highly socialized. The whole experience is one that you (and your kids!) won't forget.
Our partnership has changed now. Sadly, on October 29th, 2011, Beth passed away after a long fight with Cancer. You can read more about her by clicking her link on the right of this page. Her husband, Bob Riposo has chosen to step into the puppy raising role, so the Yankee Red Sox Havanese will go on. We hope you enjoy our site.
